Refund Policy

1. Free for Users
Your first ring-around is free. After that, SortedAI is simple pay-as-you-go — a small fee (about $1) for each ring-around Tia makes on your behalf, whether or not it ends in a booking; if Tia cannot reach a single business, that ring-around is free too. You always pay the business directly for the job itself. (While pay-as-you-go billing is not yet active, you will not be charged.)
2. Booking Fees
If SortedAI ever charges you a booking fee in error, or takes a fee for a booking it did not successfully make, you will be refunded in full within 5–10 business days. Just contact us and we'll sort it.
3. Late Cancellations
Any deposit, cancellation, or no-show terms for the service itself are set by the business you book with — please check their terms directly. SortedAI does not charge you a cancellation fee.
4. Payments to Businesses
SortedAI does not take a commission from businesses. You pay the business directly for the service they provide, on their terms. SortedAI's only charge — once pay-as-you-go pricing begins — is a small fee to you for successfully making a booking.
5. Disputes
If you're unsatisfied with the work a business performs, that is between you and the business, which is responsible for the service under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 — work must be carried out with reasonable care and skill and be fit for purpose. SortedAI does not perform the work and does not mediate. You can take a work-quality dispute to the business directly or to the NZ Disputes Tribunal. If a SortedAI booking fee was involved, we're happy to help sort that side of it.
6. How to Request a Refund
Email support@sortedai.co.nz with your booking reference and we'll respond within 2 business days.
7. Consumer Guarantees Act
Nothing in this refund policy limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, be fit for purpose, and be completed within a reasonable time.
